Inspired by another visit to the Salton Sea in Imperial County, California. We had not been back to this side of the sea for nearly 2 years. It was amazing to see the erosion that had taken place since then. Old docks that were barely visible two years ago I could now walk all the way out to and stand next to.

The 1st track on this release refers to an old child's toy (a plastic dump truck with pedals) that used to be barely visible in the red water of the inlet. At the time of this recording the toy was fully oncovered and only a one foot patch of water remained.

The title of the album refers to the trail of dead fish and bones that line the shores of the Salton Sea. The cover photograph shows where a truck drove over the dead tilapia and made a formation that looked like the fish were heading to/from the shores.
